I also played this game for the second time last night, 2 player Rune War. I really enjoyed it (though unfortunately my opponent didn't so much). I was worried about the limited # of card options vs. Dominion, but I think it makes up for it with the tactical and strategic choices that emerge from the player-vs.-player combat, the event deck, and the ability to hold cards with influence. Possibly more than makes up for it, I'll have to play it more.I'm not sure that the other scenarios are as good, however - my first play was a solo game of Quest for the Dragonlords and it seemed quite flat. I'm definitely looking forward to the expansion - 2 more units for the existing races, 2 more races, 2 more scenarios, and a slew of additional neutral cards. You can't beat that.
